The MilkMaid

Jesse the Milkmaid was going to market carrying her milk in a large bucket on her head. As she went along she started calculating in mind what all she could do with the milk that she had.

“I’ll buy some fowls from Farmer Bob,” she said, “and obviously they will lay eggs every morning, what if I sell those eggs to the parson’s wife? With the money from that sale I think I should buy myself a new sexy frock and a chip hat; and oh! All the young men in the market will be eager to come up to me and ask me for a date! Wouldn’t that be super fun? And… Betty! Well, she’ll be utterly jealous of me; but I don’t care. I shall just look at her and then toss my head like this.”
As she spoke she tossed her head back, the bucket fell off her head and all the milk was split. So then she was left with no other choice but to go home empty-handed and tell her mother about what happened.

“Ah, my child,” said her mother.

Moral of the story: Don’t ever get your eyes off your current task in the pursuit of daydreaming! Don’t count your chickens before they hatch.

Why People Give Up So Easily?

The moment we come across a new project at work or any other responsible job is assigned to us, we feel enthused with the fact that it will make our life interesting, challenging and will motivate us to bring on our A-game to the table.
Some of us, gradually, feel the drudgery and all the intoxicating fire in the belly which was alive in the initial days starts wearing out. Odds are that each one of us has been in the shoes of that ‘some of us’ and have experienced the same.
With near to zero motivation, about to die interest and merely surviving confidence in the project/work assigned to us, we give it up. If the project has some direct connection with the daily bread and butter, then only we dare to complete it.
So, what’s the real factor behind such mentality? Why does this ever happen? Is there any solution for this?
Below I’ve listed out some of the very crucial reasons which will surely help you in knowing the reasons that why do we give up and to own the legendary seed dormant inside of you and be out there showcasing your WOW level genius to the world.

Here we go. . .
1.       We Magnify Challenges Too Much and Too Often.

After setting up the desired goal, we immediately start working towards its attainment. The gorgeous path of success then starts posing the ever-so-beautiful challenges in front of us, which we look upon as threats to our comfort zones, instead as an opportunity to seize.

This happens solely because of the fact that we start magnifying our challenges/problems/struggles too much and too often. All the while, when this “Degree of Doubt” is far bigger than the degree of self-belief, which ultimately forces us to give up.

This phenomenon takes birth again when we start thinking about what others might say/ think. Hence, when we start spending more time with the “Degree of Doubt” we happen to forget to grow our self-belief and thus commit the crime of self- sabotage.

We not only deny ourselves from the confidence of after-completion success but also from the glorious future and marvelous opportunities ahead of it.

2.       We Forget The Art of Perseverance.

The Masters are cut from different cloth?  à  NO!
They’ve got some superpower to focus for long grueling hours?  à NO!
That’s what makes them great? à YES!!!

Abe Lincoln, Edison, Henry Ford, Steve Jobs, Gates, Musk, You, Me, Everyone. We all have same physical features. Difference starts showing its signs when we look deeper and find out that it’s nothing but the art of persevering which aptly defines why someone is at a higher point today. (This is not judgment, just personal observation.) :)

Why we give up is because we presume ourselves to be so tiny in front of the huge goals we set for ourselves. We should breakdown the goals into smaller yet measurable milestones for the progress gets measured and course corrections could be made accordingly. [BONUS POINT : Add a reward for each milestone achieved. This will surely ease up your stress nerves.]

3.       The Grass Always Seems Greener On The Other Side.

When troubles give us their first peek-a-boo, we get jittery and look sideways, staring at the competition working hard and this discourages even more.

Now, you the reader, would you please tell me the name of one company which laid its 10 year action plan and worked according to that same plan and got its results? Well, chances are NONE!

“I wanted a perfect ending. Now I've learned, the hard way, that some poems don't rhyme, and some stories don't have a clear beginning, middle, and end. Life is about not knowing, having to change, taking the moment and making the best of it, without knowing what's going to happen next.Delicious Ambiguity.” GILDA RADNER

Looking into the competitor’s strategy is okay for business POV, but yes, copying them is a sin.

In a nutshell, run your own race.

4.       Holding On To “Failure Tag” for too long.

This is something that kills the productivity and enthusiasm in most. We fail at some point and someone says, “You’re a failure.” So, instead of taking it proactively we react to it and keep rewinding playing the same roll again and again in our minds. Next whenever you hear that line, BANG comes the same reel again.

Stop this activity. You’re definitely NOT what people judge you as.

5.       We Want Outcome More Than The Willingness To Put In The Effort To Learn Skills Or Put In Those Study Years .

Instant noodles. Order and self serve joints. Technology has surely been a nitrous to our slow world but it has made us humans greedy and desperate to want things ASAP.  We aren’t much ready to put in those hard study years to go through the subject, acquire a lot of specialized knowledge and then brainstorm the market with our concepts, vision and actions. We want things now, this instant. And nothing makes matters worse than this.

6.       The Magic Ingredient is Missing in Most of Us.

SELF BELIEF
Main course is served.
Previously what you had were just the starters my love. ;)

The most overused but brutally true cliché is that people don’t believe in themselves to such gargantuan degrees in order to overshadow their “Degree of Doubt.”

We all have to go through our own set of challenging and arduous goals. Different goals call for different paths which obviously contain a variety of tough challenges, but they’re not the points to give up.

Imagine you’re driving in the night. Can you see the destination point from where you’re standing? NO. Then why do you expect life to not give you any hardships?

Start the car. Switch on the lights. Trust the process. As you move the light also moves with you. So the key is to keep moving. Have faith in yourself and in God (Infinite Intelligence) up there.

Challenges are meant to make us climb the summit again and again. I think not giving in is also an art to learn. ;)

Remember, those who persevere are winners. It’s the hard, grueling, weary climb that makes the experience of standing on the mountain top beautiful and worthwhile.
HUG YOUR GOALS
. Never let them go. After all, what are we without them, just a handful of meaningless dirt. :)

I hope my ideas have served you with their fullest of potential.

Why is it that Successful people are more prone to failure?

Nothing fails like success. I believe this is the line that sums up the issue in your head while you first read this topic.

I basically got this idea from a local shop in my neighborhood.
The shopkeeper used to be a nice guy when the shop was small. He only kept a few items. Always used to greet us nicely and we regularly went to him for buying our day to day items not because there was only that shop in the market, but because of the shopkeeper's kind nature and a good sense of humor.

Soon the shop grew in its popularity and slowly the shop turned into a big supermarket. That guy is still the owner of that store. But I don't prefer going there now. Not even any of my friends go there.

Why so?

Because obviously, the shop has more of products now, but it now lacks that personal human touch it used to have. That same guy now takes the product from us, never greets us and if we happen to greet him, he never replies with a smile. Takes our product, scans it, takes the money and gives it to us. All this action happens very mutely. No “Hi” or “Hellos” and no “Thank You”.
.
After a few days of that incident, a new small shop opened up in front of that store, and that new shopkeeper has more customers in a day as compared to the store!
From this incident only I got this idea to write something about why the successful people are sometimes most prone to failure than the average ones. It seems very cruel from a distant view to see that if someone has achieved success after going through so much hardship, then why does God not let him enjoy the success? In such a situation we do start blaming god. I suggest here to look closely. Magnify into the reasons and life of that person and you'll see one of these following traits that had led to his/her failure.  So let's get right into it.

1)   SUCCESS MEANS A STOP TO THEM!

Some people think that when their businesses have reached a global or an international level, it seems so easy to float on this success and there is no need to work hard further. But this is “SO UNTRUE”.
The cause of this is that, being international means your brand is now having a responsibility to serve and nurture your clients in new and exciting ways. What differentiates a successful business from an unsuccessful one is that the successful one always treats their customers like a small child. And why do they do that?
Because each and every small child wants a new toy, a new chocolate, a new game every few days, if it doesn't then he will shift to another shop.
Same way are your customers or your teammates or your children or your students. You have to BREAK THE MONOTONY.
Give your customers a new exciting experience every few days and they will do nothing but love you and your brand more than ever!

2)   THEY FORGET THAT SUCCESS IS A JOURNEY.

Every successful failure thought that success is some sort of a destination to reach. Instead, success is more or less like a good song played with the guitar. Imagine each of your little wins as a stroke or a note of the guitar being played. Your life is that guitar here. You strike up a deal in that business meeting, you hit one note properly. You have made two strangers smile today, congratulations you have just hit two notes properly. You have forgiven someone for doing wrong to you, excellent! , you have yet again hit one note properly.
So keep on hitting the guitar of your life with each and every bit in the proper way so that when you die you know you have created a great song. A song for others to remember and repeat it in their lives, till eternity. That's called as success ! That's why the cliché "success is a journey, not a destination" is so true.

3)   PERSONAL BOND VS PROFESSIONAL BUSINESS

Bond over the business. Is what successful people do. Business over bond is what takes success to failure. And all it takes is just those few seconds when you might have lifted the world with your greatness.
I remember reading somewhere that Art Papas, the founder and CEO of Bullhorn saying this "I always welcome any new customers or suppliers in our lobby. I stop, say hello and ask if they would like to have a coffee. We started this long time back when we were just a small company and we didn't even have a receptionist back then. Now I see each of our employee doing it. It seems to be deeply seated in our work environment and feels to us like a culture."
Now you tell me, wouldn't such a sweet act of gratitude be enjoyed by the customers? Of course, it would. Customers don't just need services now, they need "better services with genuine smiles" now.

4)   WHERE HAS THE KIND HEART GONE ?

As I was sharing about that local shop which turned out to be a successful failure in front of me, I learned one important lesson from it. That many times people let success rule their hearts and minds both. Success is more or less like an illusion. Competition is still there. The battle is still going on. Success just gives them a small time frame to take a nap. And that is when competitors come hunting and turn that success into a page in history. If that particular storekeeper would have cracked jokes like earlier times, he would have never left the loyalty of his customers. That is so because "customers will give you loyalty if you happen to treat them as a royalty".

Take the Ferrari cars for example and why does it take so much time to build one ? Because with the hard work and labor, the car makers put their love in those cars they produce. Each of their cars defines the love put in it, each of the Ferrari car glorifies the relentless devotion of the Italians to make it truly speak "Italian made".

Now let me ask you this. Is what you are doing currently speaking and I mean speaking, is it really speaking YOUR NAME ?

I so strongly believe that your craft should speak your name as if it is engraved on it. It will last long, much longer than your autographs.

Don't just let your death be a number in the register of census showing death tolls during that particular year, make it count for living a magnificently remarkable well-lived life.

Till next time.

There has to be a cause

Have you ever asked the three letter word that resembles our curiosity and engages our mind in thinking deeply?
"WHY?"

We all ask this question so many times. In school, we irritated some of our teachers by asking them so many WHYs. We, humans, have the basic tendency to ask about something if we don't understand it completely and to the point we get satisfied.

Observe a small child for an hour. Talk with her. And in that one hour, that little girl will always be asking you “n” numbers of "WHYs". Children are just the passionate hotbeds who couldn't digest a small amount of information.
From the childhood itself, we are accustomed to the habit of asking “WHYs” a lot.

And why do we ask so many "WHYs"?

Because we are looking for the reason. The cause behind what has made this thing turn out the way it has. All of our questions that we ask in our day to day life are to find that cause.

Now let me invite you to consider the fact that we really never ask this question to ourselves daily. Now you would say "why should we ask this question?"

Because you and I, we deserve a better life. We all deserve to live our dreams.

We all deserve to be happy and enjoy the little pleasures with our families.
We all deserve to be at the top of the mountain.
We all deserve to be regarded as the ultimate heavyweight champion of our field.
We all deserve to be among the best human beings who ever walked this planet.

And for this, we need to ask this question daily to ourselves, twice.

Once when you wake up in the morning, to remind you that you have to display your values and shower the world with your love. And secondly, at the night, to make yourself aware that yes, you are contributing to the world in some way. Be it small. But you are.

We all need to hang this question on each of the tasks we do in our day to day lives because what differentiates a great human being from an ordinary one is that, the great one was acutely focused on delivering their best to their clients or customers or to the world as a whole.

All of us are humans. We go through tough times, we go through rough times and we go through very good times as well.

It's easy to stay positive and on track during easy times, but when the going gets tough, it's the ingrained granular crystal clear vision and definite set of actions that determine if you'll be a success or not. It's not said in vain that "tough times define the true matter of a strong man".

And obviously for designing such set of unique and exquisitely gorgeous habits we need to start from ground level. So, for the ground level, kindly do this simple exercise :-

Take a fresh paper. Divide it into two halves. One approx three times bigger than the other one. Basically, you have to divide that page into 1/4th and another one to be 3/4th of the page.
On the 1/4th one, write down the daily action of yours. And on the other one, write down the "reason" that why you did that.
Put the headings as Action and Cause respectively.
Now as your day passes by just start noting down your each and every activity in the Action side and write down in detail why you did that in the Cause side.

Whatever you do in a day, each second, each minute of your each hour determines your success speed.

So after you have noted down the above-mentioned tool, and have written down your daily acts for one week. On Sunday night, take a look at that particular chart.

And when you are done with that analysis, simply put the line "WHAT'S THE CAUSE OF DOING IT?" Behind each and everything you have noted down on the Cause side.

Make a note of them all. And then ask another profound question to yourself "IS IT TAKING YOU CLOSER TO YOUR DREAMS?"

You'll be astonished to know how much potential you are really wasting.

What's cause behind spending hours in chit chatting with friends?
What's the cause behind going from link to link on YouTube when you have so much work to do?
What's the cause to live life so ordinarily when you know you're meant for greatness?
What's the use of backbiting others and gossiping so much ?

I have myself used this method long time back and it has served me in increasing my productivity and happiness 100X. And I believe we all deserve to be happy and productive. If you are happy you can be productive. And if you start being productive you start feeling happy. And if one stops, so does the other one.

Therefore to be happy and productive, it's very important to assess each and every action of yours so that you are sure it's in line with your dreams. If it isn't a piece that could fit anywhere in your big jigsaw puzzle, simply delete it.

Please apply this simple tool that I have shared with you so that you could reach for those dreams and even fly above those clouds. That is my heartfelt wishes for you and your bright future ahead!

Good luck!

Follow this simple tool and do share your results.

Till next time.

Am I a misfit ?

I understand, that it is a bit strange for you to find such a topic on my blog and most obviously, you are intrigued by the fact that why today have I taken this topic to write. Rest your questions. Let's talk.

Many times we have had this thought that the world is right and we are wrong. This arises the self-doubt. And as soon as we start immersing ourselves and keep dwelling on this thought of "if I am a misfit or not" before we know it, it becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy, which then feeds on our minds like weeds destroying a gorgeous garden.

So how to avoid it and make sure that we keep our mind's beautiful garden weed free ?

For that we first need to understand the concept behind "I'm a misfit or not" mindset.

Obviously, I am no certified doctor or a psychiatrist but I have seen the lows of life a lot more than my peers and have myself suffered this fear's pain. Have been there. Done that. Came out successfully. So I thought, why not help others overcome this fear ?

In this blog post I'll not only just remove that weed completely from your mind, but till the end of the blog post, I assure you that you will feel the presence of a newly sown seed of self-confidence and vitality within you. Because if we leave it removed, it will surely grow back. (No am not into farming, if you're thinking that, but my mom is. Happened to learn a thing or two from her)

You are a misfit. You think so ... okay. Give me the reason. WHY ?

Is it because you are so much passionate about chasing your dreams ?

Is it because you are always ready to help people?

Is it because you happen to forgive people much easily than if the sides are exchanged?

Is it because you love others so much and you don't get that love back ?

Or is it because you have that faith in your skills that the world cannot see you successful, but you can ?

What is your reason?

And am asking YOUR REASON!
Not the society's reason !!!

For instance, if you are answering me that "my friends and family members who know me well, they have told me that I can't do it" then still it isn't YOU speaking.

I demand an answer from you.

Why do you think that you are a misfit ?

Write down that reason on a piece of paper.

And now reflect on it.
You'll be astonished to discover that what you are thinking is not what your mind is saying, instead it's the product of other people's mindset and opinions.
If you want to be a dancer then be it. Stretch yourself to that bigness. The world will never be able to measure your dreams in their short sighted closed box mentality.
The world never believed the impossible word to be defeated until some man got up, rolled up his sleeves, slogged day and night and made that possible.

The world always used to believe that it is impossible to break the four-minute mile race record. Many tried and failed. A guy named Roger Bannister did what nobody could imagine and broke that record. It went viral. And within few weeks others were seen covering that distance in less than four minutes as well. I think we have a lot to learn from this story. Firstly, that nothing is undefeatable for the man who never gives up and is burning with hot red passion for differentiating himself from the crowd. And secondly, no one believed it could be done until one man did it. And others thus followed him. Why? Because he gave them the hope that it can be done !

We all are misfits in some way or other. Am no exception. Negatives and positives are there in all of us. Yin Yang. It obviously is true. But it solely rests in your hands to take your good to such a high level that your bad becomes so light that one day it vanishes from the brightness of the good in you. And just reflect in the thought that "IF WE REALLY WERE A MISFIT, WHY WOULD THEN WE BE HAVING THAT POWER TO THINK ABOUT OUR DREAMS ?"

You are not a misfit. Believe me. You are sent on this planet Earth to complete a mission. This world wouldn't have been the same if you weren't in it. We need you. The world needs your talents. See yourself as a small jigsaw piece of a big jigsaw puzzle. Earth is that image on it and I and you are just those tiny little jigsaw pieces. It all just fits in !
It will take you time to find your right place in it. Where you fit. Happily and lively. When you do discover it... You'll be ecstatic! :) And that is my heartfelt wishes for you.

So I want to leave you today with the thought that why not you be the Roger Bannister of your field?

Please remember that you don’t have to do what everyone else is doing, and you don’t even need permission from the world to get your dreams done. What you do today is important, because you are exchanging one day of your life for it.

It's okay for the world to not believe in you. It's okay for the critics to laugh at your idea to be a legend. It's okay to sometimes fight over with your loved ones over your passion. Because in the end, only one question will remain.

"Did you make it happen ?"

Top 5 traits of highly successful people

There are actually many traits of highly successful people but am simply gonna articulate them in the following points for you. Just remember that being successful isn’t difficult, its much easier than being a mediocre:

  •  They are POSITIVE thinkers : All of us have our share of sorrow and regret and some unavoidable circumstances. But the ones who know the ability to deal with them wisely are able to dodge those tough times which mostly drain the energy out of most of others.
  •  They are PASSIONATE : Such kind of people are always coming up with new ideas or insights, no matter how busy they are. This strange habit is what makes them successful. They are constantly analyzing how they can amp up their game in every aspect of their lives.
  • They understand the value of SUPERB QUALITY HUMAN RELATIONS : It is so easy sometimes to forget about the human connection when you are up at the ladder of success when most of your peers aren’t, but most often this is the single most worst habit that makes success a failure in a matter of seconds ! All successful men and women of any era, got successful because they were always humble and understood that the very fabric of any successful enterprise or a personality or a brand is its superb quality human relations.
  • They run GREAT RITUALS to keep themselves on track. Hard times do come in the lives of most successful people as well, but they have already set some great rituals that they run every day in their lives to keep themselves on track. For example : it is going out for a run for me if I feel like having some stress in mind. This way, I remain fit mentally and physically both.
  • They WORK HARD. You really cannot ignore this point. Can you ? All successful people do agree on the presence of some luck factor in their lives but more than that they agree on the age old line “The harder I work, the luckier I get”. They are not like most of the lot who sits in front of the TV or PC aimlessly to hop on from website to website and are waiting luck to strike them. The successful ones get up, roll their sleeves up, get their hands dirty and endure the painstaking task until and unless they have realized their dreams.

Being successful isn’t a physical state, it’s a mental state.

       Till next time.

GENIUS (2)

As promised, here I am sharing with you some superb ideas and tactics to be implemented in your life so that you can achieve your own unique form of greatness.

In this series, I'll be walking you through another acronym of the word GENIUS where I have broken down the simple tactics of a genius and will be explaining them to you using each letter of the word GENIUS. Yeah, I know this is crazy, but this acronym fever will get over soon.

In my, this blog post I am going to share with you how to be best among the crowd and how you can tune up your levels of performance to a new higher level of frequency to just rock the floor like you would never have... Here we go :-

G :- Grow yourself.

None of us is perfect. We're all works in progress. Constantly we keep on focusing our vision on a new higher goal every time we accomplish one. For this we require to grow ourselves in every way possible, body and mind both. Growing yourself is not just concerned with keeping yourself fit, growing yourself means getting yourself fitter every time you step into the gym. Growing by mind involves the process that when we sit on our desk to work, we always end up innovating a more every time. This is the number one rule of the rare gems of the world. They always focus on growing themselves in both, mind and body simultaneously.

E :- Evaluate yourself

After every examination, our answer papers are checked by the examiner. Our results are then given and we work harder if we are getting off track. Similarly, we all need to evaluate ourselves for a while, every now and then.

Is your work ethics in alignment with your dream map?
Are your actions in line with what you are saying?
 Are you walking your talk?

Evaluation is so very much important. Evaluation is the key that does the refinement in the crafting skill of the sculpture of a man in pursuit of his eye-opening dreams.

N :- Nurture yourself

You must be confused that what is the difference between the Growing yourself and Nurturing yourself. Growing is of mind and body. Nurturing is by the soul. We all have some bad qualities in us, am no exception, but it is the resilience that keeps me going. We all, including me, go through many incidents and meet many people, from whose influence we are highly prone to copy paste their negativities in us.

Because if we do suck them up just like the sponge... Ultimately we're gonna be the ones who'll be dirty. Nurturing can be done by making your soul pure and clear. Free from any form of hatred. Filling it with love. Love for humanity... Love for the work you do... Love for the people who matter to you and those for whom you matter ... Love for the power that has created you.

I :-  Innovate in your work

The only inoculation of a lifeless life is Innovation. Albert Einstein has put it so beautifully when he said: "insanity is doing the same thing every time and expecting different results." Every time you do your work, be so exceptional that you stun the world with your genius. Am a big fan of Usher. The way he sings and he dances, it's just wow! I mean whenever I see his dance moves, there's always a bit of freshness to it. That's an example of innovation at work.

U :- Understand yourself

All of us are a part of one earth, one Galaxy, and one universe. We all have similar looking body parts like one nose, two eyes etc. Still, we differ a lot. We differ in what's really inside us. Just imagine what would happen if Usher starts to play the soccer in place of Messi and Messi starts to sing? Might be they'll be good at those other arts but they definitely won't be doing iconic in it, like they currently are in their respective fields. That's the same thing I wanna share with you. Be iconic in what you do. And this can only be done when we are aware of our negatives and positives. So to do it, understand yourself.

Do this because the world is just an audience waiting to applaud for your tremendous performance.

S :- Sacrifice yourself

Let me share a story with you here, it fits in so perfectly.

There was a guy who used to play piano and violin very effortlessly during his era. He was very famous for the Genius in him. Even still to this day, many people adore him and give him respect. So what happened is that while doing and composing his music, he was struck by the bad luck and became deaf. And as the saying goes "God supports those who support themselves" still he used to draw big crowds to his stage shows. So on one of such fine days, he was playing his instruments and people were adoring for such a fine genius he is. When the show got over, the audience couldn't resist but give a standing ovation to him. But to their surprise, as this guy had stopped his piano, he got up and started collecting his stuff from there. His back was towards the audience that’s why he couldn't see their standing ovation. The audience was shocked to see this and a bit dishearten as well. Just then a friend of that guy came on stage and made his friend turn around to see what he was missing out. The audience was later crying to know the reason behind it because then they got to know that the guy playing the piano is deaf. You'll be shocked to know who he was. Ladies and gentlemen, that was Beethoven. Yes, the legend Beethoven. By the time he created his 7th symphony he was deaf. But that didn't stop him and he fought it and gave the world a true set of masterpieces and a fine example of burning passion.

In the end, I would like to remind you that the law of nature is "quid pro quo". You really can never get something for nothing.

Kindly notice a small child when he's doing up his work. They are always so passionate and alive while doing their work that they really don't care at that time whatever is happening around them. I recently noticed my small brother doing up his art. While he was fully engaged in his work, all of us in the house mattered the least to him.

Well, that's what being a genius is all about. Genius isn't about genetics, genius is all about your practice. This universe will support only those who devote themselves fully to their craft and they promise themselves to render the exquisite amount of creativity that the world just can't ignore the genius in them. They don't do it for the money they do it for the love. They do it for the immense amount of satisfaction that they get from it. So, please follow these ideas that I've just shared with you.Otherwise, you're taking away the right of this world to reap the benefits of the genius in you.

Till next time.

Stay motivated. Stay excited. Stay happy.

S of GENIUS

[Read : U of GENIUS ]

Silence pays off huge dividends.

By now, as we have escalated down to the last point on "S" of the "GENIUS", am sure that you must have learned something from each and every blog post. Humbleness, greatness, enthusiasm, the spirit of never giving up all these are the traits of a true genius. So here we are on the last letter "S" understanding it's importance and thereby it's significance.
Silence. All great leaders have this habit of being silent during meaningless discussions. And the idea behind this habit is simply alluring that I have myself adopted it a long way back and the results are marvelous. The idea is :-

If you spend your creative energy or your potential energy in useless activities, you will yourself deplete the enormous reservoir of it, then when you'll get down to business, you're left with less or no energy.

I myself have this habit of spending an hour every day (even though I have to wake up at 5 am for it) in silence. Silence allows you to set yourself up for the day and to revise your mission in life.
I think each one of us can drive, right? So what do you do when you get off track, you immediately get your hands on the wheel and steer yourself back on track. Silence does the same. We need the time to think through and set ourselves on our path to our desires and wishes, and silence does it all.
The reason why all the elite Businessmen remain silent is because their mental framework says to them that if they speak too much they might miss out on listening to the other person's idea that might be very fascinating and it might give them the breakthrough to make millions.
When you're silent, I believe and I've felt it that you're completely naked then. You're facing yourself in the mirror. Who can you lie when you know that you're talking to yourself? It is, for obvious reasons, difficult to see ourselves in that self-reflection phase (i.e. silence) but if we gradually work up on our inner selves to achieve whole new levels in our lives be it personally, professionally, financially, spiritually or physically, the results will be breathtaking. And we would be just undefeatable then. But this is easily said than done. That is why only the 5% - 7% of the population is the Genius breed.

The wise speak less do more. The mediocrity speaks at length and does meaningful work in millimeters.

Choose your side.

And whatever are the results do tell me by commenting below. Would love to know the changes you've experienced after applying all these principles.

Understand the value of every human being.

This blog post "U" of genius is in congruence with the "E" of genius which I wrote in an earlier blog post. The quality of a rich life, a rich business, a successful company and even a successful nation, dilutes down to one thing and that is the quality of human connections prevailing in it.
I think we all need all of us. For example :- a company's CEO needs the sweeper who sweeps the floor of the company before the CEO walks in. And vice versa, the sweeper needs the CEO to get his salary/wage. Of course, there will be a difference in the pay they both get with respect to the work they do. But I don't think it gives the right to the company or the CEO to exploit the sweeper or any XYZ employee.
I think we should treat every human being the way we want ourselves to be treated. You must have read a lot of stories of "rags to riches", you just never know when the tables will turn and story turns from "riches to rags" and might be the CEO who treated the sweeper badly might now have to work under the superintendence of that same sweeper.
And this is where the true "G" greatness of Genius comes into play. Every humble leader always treats his subordinates and his superiors with due respect. Respect the superiors because you need them. Respect your subordinates because you need them to respect you, otherwise without them nobody would respect you.
To end this blog post, I have created a two line summary. Here it is :-

" The success of a true company can never be measured
how much area your company is spread in miles,
But it can surely be measured by how many consumers
you have touched and
being in their lives giving them smiles "

Stay motivated. Stay excited. Stay happy.

Innovation is the new weapon.
[Read : N of GENIUS ]

Changing times, changing measures, changing ways of living and changing ways of thinking.
These days the customers/consumers or even the public in general, demand better quality products rather than focusing on the quantity and price factors alone. Therefore all the leading brands (in their respective industries) are innovating at the speed of light.
The Research and Development (R & D) department of every enterprise is now among the top priorities among its old counterparts i.e. sales and accounts department.
Thus, the CEOs and the COOs of these leading brands are the ultimate men and women on whose shoulders the responsibility to direct the company rests. They all understand the importance and more importantly, the need for innovation. EARLIER INNOVATION WAS JUST A FACILITY, NOW IT’S A NECESSITY.

Thus to survive in such cut throat competition all such leaders are always coming up with new ideas, methods and techniques that could increase their customers' satisfaction levels.

This is all what innovation is all about. Thinking new patterns, discovering more and better avenues. And when you discover better avenues you increase your revenues.

Does that really matter if you're not the CEO of a company so as to apply this principle in your life? I don't think so. You're the CEO of your own life and career. Just like the CEO of a company who tries to innovate every day, same way whenever you start doing your normal routines, try innovating a bit in it. Try going deeper in your field of study, understanding more concepts and details about it and truly engaging yourself in it, go to such an extreme level that the world matters the least to you.
That's called as innovation.

Stay motivated. Stay excited. Stay happy.

Never giving up is a sure shot way to success.

All the elite men and women, regardless of their area of operation, who have achieved the top notch positions in their arena, they all give thumbs up to the rule of "winners never give up"

I know that you must have heard this age-old line probably thousands of times to don't give up, but let me give a spin on it...
Let me give you a very strange technique today, give up on something you can't do right now, give yourself a vacation. It doesn't need to be a trip to the Bahamas only… It could be a simple walk in the park with your favorite ice cream also. ;) and then come back again to your thing which you gave up, you will be physically the same you, but you'll truly have a changed mindset with increased confidence that makes you shout out "Hell yeah ! I can't do this! "

I believe it's much easier to not give up when you choose to never see giving up as an available option for yourself. Take Edison for example, undoubtedly he's the genius of his era and even now he's respected as a legend adored by many. He has done so much for the mankind. And he never did this purposefully for the sake of himself or the society or the mankind, he actually did his innovations for the love of it. And when he couldn't discover the light bulb after 10,000 times, he simply put it as :-

"I don't think I've failed 10,000 times, I've just discovered 10,000 ways of not doing it correctly."

Winning is a game of mindset. This is what I've learned from Edison here. He took pride in his failures. Damn! Wow! Isn't that what a genius does?

If you really want to give up something, then give up on your bad habits, give up on your negativities you've taken as a huge debt loan from the world. But don't ever give up on what you love and those people whom you truly love.

So who's up with me on never giving up?

Stay motivated. Stay excited. Stay happy.
