Where Do You Count Yourself ?

It's a basic human tendency to count ourselves as superior to other human beings around us. Yes, no doubt in the fact that we are all masters of different crafts and skills and no one can match us; we are all unique. But what drives me to think is that does such kind of thinking makes us arrogant, egoistic or kind and a gentle human being ? This is by far the most imperative, highly impressionable point I have ever encountered with.

The main question I want you to consider right now, is that where do you count yourself ? Do you get counted as an arrogant, grumpy person or you are loved by all for being a kind and gentle human being ?

Now I know, no one of us would raise a hand and say "oh yeah! I am the grumpy idiot you're looking for".

So for your sake, I have developed a few questions for you to answer that will determine your side soon. Please be honest with yourself and give out the answer as quickly as it snaps, without delay.

Here we go !

Ready ?

1)    In a marriage or a family function or a big party, do you stand outside the group, make fewer conversations and tend to be a wallflower, preferring not to go and meet the other people ?

2)    When you wake up, you get straight into the shower, eat your breakfast and rush off to the office, without kissing goodbye to your loved ones ?

3)    Do you like the face you see in the mirror each and every day in the morning?

4)    Do you feel that your everyday activity is getting you somewhat closer to where you want to be at the end of your life ?

5)    Do you help a stranger now and then ?

6)    Do you believe in charity ?

7)    Do you ever feel like taking a flower (without any special occasion) for your sweetheart to tell him/her how much you appreciate them ?

8)    Do you have a weekly habit of calling up your parents and a monthly habit (at least once a month) to meet them ?

9)    Have you installed the same beliefs in your life which you proudly lecture to your peers about?

10)  Are you taking responsibility today ?

11)  Do you pay gratitude for what you have today, instead of fretting over for what you lack ?

12)  Can you show your answers, proudly, to these questions to your closest ones ?

13)  Do you love yourself ?

Result Time !

If you have answered "No" to 5 or more questions, then buddy, you stand on the egoistic, arrogant side. See it's not my view point, it's a general view. If you are not praising your wife for making a tasty dish, then to her you would definitely look grumpy. If you don't appreciate your subordinates or make no room for them to unleash their creativity then you will be tagged as a dictator, not a leader.

Reflect upon these questions in your journal today and deeply think where all do you need improvement.

We all have imperfections, including me, but we all can improve.

My job here is done to make you aware of your negatives. Action part lies on your side. Will you make the effort to move the needle from being a grumpy man to a kind, generous human being ?

Till next time.

How to stay happy in every situation we face ?

Happiness is a subjective state. Or to simplify it more for you, happiness comes from inside.

There are times when we are feeling miserable and sad, because many times you are trying to find out happiness from your outside world. See, there is no harm in that, we all seek happiness and a good laugh from our peer groups and our close ones, but many times these are the very people who make us sad and gloomy. These are the people who sometimes stab us in the back and hurt us deeply. For this, let me give you a few pointers on how to feel truly happy.

1.    STOP SPENDING A LOT OF TIME WITH YOUR SWEET HATERS.

Yes, you got me right! stop spending a lot of time with those who love you in front of you and when you turn your back, they start criticizing you. Such people don’t deserve your time and love, so leave them alone slowly. With this I mean that, be friends with them but just the Hi or Hellos friends, not more than that.

2.    MAKE TIME FOR YOURSELF

Start spending a lot of time with yourself, eat some good pasta alone, be your best companion. I feel this is the truest way to be happy from inside. Love yourself, understand what drives you and motivates you in life. Make the time to analyze what passions you had in the childhood but somewhere got lost, reignite that fire and work towards them! This feel surely make you feel happy.

3.    GIVE YOURSELF A REALITY CHECK EVERY SUNDAY NIGHT

Every Sunday night, as you are going to sleep, for a few minutes, take your journal out, think about how well you performed during that week, how many good laughter did you share and how many times did you rise yourself up from the negativity of the world. Give yourself a check for this. By doing this, you will be feeling more alive and more energized during your life. And if you don’t feel you have lived upto that level, make it a resolution to be more happy next week ! Seems like an interesting game, isn’t it?

4.    FIND HAPPINESS INSIDE!!!

I know you won’t believe if I tell you that there is a never ending waterfall of happiness hidden inside of you. Don’t just look onto the faces of others to make you happy, because if you will, one day they will think that you are lonely and sad from inside and will thus leave you. I have seen many people getting attracted to the “happy” people in a room. You know what differentiates between those few and all others ? It is the fact that former produces happiness and the latter just receives it.

Nothing is really bad in this world. It’s all about the lens you are using to view it. For a few days, use my lens by trying out whatever I have shared with you, then come back here and do share with me how you felt.

Let me give you a sneak peek idea, watch Mr. Bean videos whenever you feel sad, it will surely lift up your mood.

How to make your EQ stronger ??? [EQ Vs IQ (Part 2 of 2)]

Hello! I hope all are doing well and hunting down your dreams every day. In my earlier blog post, I shared with you an example that how EQ is different from IQ.
We most probably are pretty much aware now that the EQ is much more important than the IQ. All the major companies around the globe do want their workforce to have a strong IQ but from past few decades, this trend has been changing. Every organization now wants to employ those candidates who qualify in IQ test but also stand par excellence to others. In the managerial levels as well, it is seen that the managers who have strong EQ tend to move up the organizational ladder much faster than their contemporaries. Emotional Intelligence is very much different from academic intelligence. Many who are book smart face difficulties in dealing with complex life situations in future just because they forget about strengthening their emotional intelligence.
Emotional Intelligence is simply referred to as the ability of which one can remain poised, serene and calm amidst various troubles happening in his/ her life. It can also be defined as the ability of a person to be stable inside when the outside seems to have fallen apart.
So how do we make our EQ stronger?
I suggest you, the following tips to focus on for a few days to make yourself much stronger in EQ than others. Before reading below just remember this formula:-
      EQ = SELF WORTH
I’ll explain later why I have put this formula for you to consider.
1)    Give Love to yourself.
Many times it happens that we give love to others to such a great extent, be it in an imagination or in an outer world, that we ourselves make us empty from inside. This habit of loving others than they love you back should only be adopted if your own cup is filled to the full.
2)    Practice the wonderful habit of gratitude.
We don’t need all that money to be happy. Do we? We don’t even need to have a super luxury car to make ourselves happy. Yes, these material things are important in life and they do add to the spice in life. But many times we forget about saying”Thank You” for what we have. If you have a loving family, you are blessed. If you have food on your table, feel blessed. If you have a roof over your head and two eyes to read this blog post, you are truly blessed. Many don’t even have this privilege.

3)    Expect less.
Expectations are big culprits in robbing us off from our self-worth. It does feel bad when someone whom we cared a lot doesn’t give us back that same love and care. Read my blog post (titled : Why do we get hurt) to know more on this point. A simple rule to follow: Other than those who care for you, give what you get from them. That is a sure way to make yourself stand for yourself in times of difficulties. Letting people walk over you isn’t what true leaders do. They are friendly, yet super firm and deeply connected to their core values, of which self-worth comes among the most important ones.

4)    Burn out all past hurts and worries.

Bruce Lee used to apply this technique during his tough times. He always used to write down his worries on a piece of paper and then burn up that paper. According to him, that burning paper would make him feel as if his worries and tensions are getting burned. This technique has helped me innumerable times to get past all negative emotions and exude passion and vitality in the world around me.

5)    Spend Alone Time.

For an hour every week, be alone. Switch off your cell phones. Go away from your family. Be very, very hard to reach. Shut out all noises to listen to the voice within you. Be alone for some hours. You can either go to a coffee shop or sit down on a bench in a park. Now rest your mind there. Think about your dreams. Think of yourself as a businessman and get into deep thinking mode to reflect on your ways of doing things and ask yourself if they are in line with your dreams or not. In this deep abyss of self-love, you will figure out who you truly are and what you are meant to be in life. Trust me, you will grow exponentially, you’ll figure out what actually gives you that adrenaline rush, you’ll discover your innate talents, you’ll experience true bliss after this exercise. You will then develop your own crystal clear clarity with which you will gift yourself the most beautiful gift of having a pristine mindset

6)    Last, but by no means the least, Dedicate yourself to something higher than just living your days. Serve the humanity. Discover your talents. Dedicate yourself to making this work a better place than you found it and if you cannot do it, will your living make any difference? Leave behind a legacy. Be kind to strangers. Respect humanity. Smile at your colleagues. Make a new friend every day. In the end, all that matters is how kind your heart truly is.

These were the Super Six that will lift you up in your EQ.
Remember that formula?
Revisit it and connect that formula to each one of these points, you’ll notice that how our Emotional Quotient is directly connected to our Self Worth.

Hope my ideas will provide you with some beautiful changes to make into your daily habits. DO them. Revisit this blog post as many times you feel the need of the push. Am here for you always.

Why Do We Get Hurt ?

"Why do we expect something from someone?" Isn't this the question you have had in your mind at least once till this day?

It's okay to have this question in our minds. We're humans, we are bound to expect.

When a small baby cries, he is expecting his mother to come running to him and give him his bottle of milk. The act of expectations is in our traits. We can't run from it but yes we can be selective in our expectations.

I have seen many times that when people love someone or show care to someone, they expect the same in return. Yes, I agree that it is natural and you will expect, but many times we don't get it back. And when we don't get it back we start blaming that person and we start to dislike him/her. Doesn't that show that you're being selfish? You loved someone in order to get love back from them. Isn't that being selfish? Yes, it is being selfish.

I believe love should be void of all these things. If you love someone truly, shower them with your love, kindness and care. And never expect it back. This is what is called true love. And believe me, if you'll do it you'll get it back in multiples.

If you want to expect something from someone then expect a genius from you.
Expect to be the best in whatever endeavor you are in.
Expect to stand for the highest values you hold true to your heart.
Expect yourself to give in a little bit extra every time you work hard on your craft.
Expect yourself to love all, without any hatred or negative feelings.

I know it hurts when you're expecting something and you don't get it. But you know what, if you really cared for someone and they didn't reciprocate to you when you needed it, it shows that you're a better human being than them. How's that for a change of thought?

With that said, I would like to suggest you that might be the other person is busy or going through something tough in their personal lives or they’re struggling financially. You never know what problems are going on at the other side. So be understanding as well.

How To Be Realistic ?

What does “being real” mean?

Being real means being WHAT YOU REALLY ARE.

Okay, that was tricky. Let me rephrase that.

Can you identify anyone who tries to be sweet around you and you know very well that he/she is someone else behind you? I know you can identify such people. This species is present everywhere.

Now if your intuition can sense this person, can't your fakeness be decoded by someone else?

I know you would feel good if someone who is bad, accepts that and admits it in front of you. Now, what would you feel if you accept your mistakes and flaws in front of someone else and promise them to amend yourself? A sense of joy, happiness and confidence will flow into you.

When you are hiding your true self from someone, the bond of you both will get weak. Negativity is like a disease. Once a germ gets into your mindset, it will spread the disease of negativity in you and then this disease is hard to be cured.
I urge you to be what you are. Step out into the world by being the most authentic version of you. You'll be someone who can change the world. Because what I believe is, that if someone can change himself (accepting his flaws) then changing the world is just a cake walk for him. This is because the real enemy of us is "we" ourselves. Let me serve you with the best part, you know your weaknesses. So why not attack them and be victorious?

The government has successfully put up fines on everything that is fake, be it fake product selling, fake advertisements, fake marketing, fake prospectus of a company etc. Sadly the government couldn't put up fine on the one thing that is diminishing the value of our society, and that is Fake Humans

So does that give you and me a license to be fake?

No, it doesn't.

It's the biggest liability on the whole community, if you're being fake. You know inside what lies you've told. You know inside what negativity you're spreading. Will you be happy from inside while doing so? I know you couldn't. Your inner self is someone you're afraid of. Our inner selves are the true souls connected to the God, and God never supports the fake. So why will your inner self-support you? Please give this a few seconds to think.

So, now ending our this conversation on a beautiful note :-

Love openly. Live fully. Kiss your loved ones passionately like there's no tomorrow. Be truthful. Be honest. Be funny. Be serious. Be happy. Be motivated. You have just one life. Why don't shower love and care wherever you go? You'll just get it back manifold.
