How to Stay Passionate for a Long Period of Time !

Today, in this blog post we are going to throw some light on the methods and tactics we could use to stay passionate in every work that we execute.

Often it happens that we get carried away with a countless number of pings from social networking sites and we forget about the issue at hand, thus leading to a steady decline in our motivation for being in the top form for a long period of time.

Let alone such small distractions, even life sometimes throws its worst turns at us, mostly banging in without a prior notice.

So how can we make sure that we are on track much longer than these circumstances are there in our lives ?

How can we stay in-the-game and be exceptionally superbly productive in our fields, no matter what comes up ?

Here I am explaining to you 4 simple tactics that you can easily include in your everyday life so that you can be a world-class performer wherever you act.

Without further adieu, let’s dial into them.

1)    SURROUND yourself with people you model. This simple tactic is often neglected by many of us. No matter what you say, this one comes in the most important criteria to determine your future success. The company you keep and the language you use with them, everything showcases your internal belief system.

There is no genius level player who will ever hang out with the mediocrity. All the reason behind such an act is that our brains are hardwired to aim for something bigger, better and advanced to our current circumstances. This is more or less like a fundamental human need. We want a new house or a new car or a new investment just because we are interested in making our lifestyle more advanced. This is the same reason why all of us want to roam around with people of higher social status than us.

I gently suggest you the following points :-

1)          Start spending some quality time with such people so that you could absorb their positivity and passion.
2)          Make it a habit of staying in touch with such people no matter what.
3)          Respect their time but be determined to stay on your toes for new teachings from them.
4)          Start inviting them over to lunches and dinners. This way you will not only be connected to them personally but emotionally as well. (Remember that a business is less about net worth and much more about your network)
5)          If in case, your “guru” isn’t a person present in your life physically; either follow them through their books or via blogs or any other medium so that you are in touch with them on a constant basis.

2)    SERVE. Help someone who didn’t ask you for help. This is called as serving the humanity. We all can help those who ask it from us. But only a few of us are willing to go ahead and help someone who didn’t ask it. Serving others ignites the flame of passion in us to a very deep level. Being helpful is a great quality to possess. Serving others gives a sense of satisfaction, no matter where you are or who you are.
It provides you the needed push and a mega message that what you are doing will help others too. Go out there today and make a stranger smile or make a new friend today or go to an old age home and spend some time with those neglected people. They are devoid of love and care, please go there and make them smile. I can bet my life on it that you will return home completely moved from inside.

Please don’t think that I suggest serving others as a selfish way to gain passion, as per me, it is the best way you can contribute to the world. Because as you get passionate, you can contribute more and so that you could contribute more; you need to pump up yourself with passion.

3)    SACRIFICE. There is a very powerful motivational force hidden in the sacrifices made for dream accomplishment. Have you ever put in more than your best in your project? If yes, then you must have felt a sense of accomplishment after doing it. As per the scientific researchers, when we extend ourselves beyond our limits to accomplish the tasks we dearly hold, a chemical called as dopamine is released in our brains. Dopamine is a huge motivational neurotransmitter which provides our brain a sense of relief. It not only does that, it also makes our mind happy and satisfactory. And we all know that only a happy mind can focus again and better on the next following task.

When you will sacrifice something, be it your sleep or junk food or an outing with friends, of course, your heart will suggest you to delay the project at hand, but I believe that is the very moment when we should be sacrificing those materialistic short term pleasures. It will be difficult for a few starting steps but later it will get stronger like a muscle constantly worked upon in the gym.

4)    SIMPLIFY.

Cluttered minds will always have a cluttered desk
.

Our mind craves clarity, simplicity, and peace. All of these three can never be found in a place where filthiness resides. Make your workstation (or your “oasis”) clutter free as much as you can, devoid of any distractions. Even a smallest of distraction is enough for getting you off track from the task at hand.
The thumb rule here is – a messy workplace will often result in messy productivity.

No great business or craft can be achieved if your laboratory is full of a lot of unnecessary accessories. Similarly, you need to bulletproof your mindset so as to neglect things that matter least to you and your objective.

There is truly nothing in the world that a single focused man cannot achieve. Attain this mindset of “zero messiness” in your work and your mindset, and you’ll become an unstoppable force of nature assured to change the world in a very elegant way.

Go get your dreams done.

Till next time.

Stay motivated. Stay excited. Stay happy.
