Why Is It So Difficult To Follow A Dream ?

Mind, body, heart and soul, that's all required to make a man.

And interestingly all of that is required to have a dream.

Mind gives us the power to think subconsciously about our dreams.

Body does the action to “DO” the dream i.e. to work hard to get the dream of realms turns into a reality

Heart chooses what dream we pursue that engages us fully and makes us aware of the fact that it's totally up to us what is right and what is wrong for us.

And. . . 

Soul gives us the power, energy, enthusiasm (call it passion if you will) and the much-needed fire to lighten us up for the future glory that awaits us. The soul is much like a powerhouse to a dream. If your dream (or desire) isn't that deep into your soul, you'll never make to the end.

Now here please don't assume that we are talking about some vague dreams.

Here, therefore, am referring to those aspirations and needs you so strongly want as if they are the true fuels of your soul.

I mean, here, a set of defined crystal clear dreams.

With the good comes evil.

With love comes hate.

With trust comes betrayal.

With dark comes the sunshine.

With summer comes winter.

With honesty comes lie.

With birth comes death.

With goal comes challenge.

With dream comes barrier.

Now no one of us will deny the fact that we don't need any one factor of the above, because without one factor, the other would be of no value.

For instance, how would you feel the presence of good when there is no evil?

How would you feel the presence of honesty when there is no lie?

How would you feel the absence of sunshine when all you know is dark?

How would you get to know the real importance and significance of birth when there is no death?

Isn't this amusing that, we fear the things we shouldn't fear and we don't fear the things we should fear.

Look around. People are aimlessly going in their lives. No one is “THAT” afraid of death because they know its certain and this gives them the sweetest excuse as to why they are not chasing their dreams. And then ask them who are they afraid of?

Answer?

Their bosses, because there is so much uncertainty in that field of life. Call it job security for better understanding.

We are focusing a lot on "Job Security”, “Life Security.” "Financial Security" and "Basic Security".

We can obviously make sure of regular bread at the table with "JOB SECURITY".
We can also get happy about "LIFE SECURITY" thanks to the many insurance companies ringing us day and night to remind us of its importance.
For covering ourselves up for the uncertainties of the future and the "forever increasing" inflation, we start doing some investments in form of mutual funds, bank FDs, buying some stocks and shares and even having some infra investments. And by practicing this, we make ourselves secure in the terms of "Financial Security".
 And then to protect our family, we address to their basic needs one of them is shelter and giving them a sweet home. This act of ours hereby confirms that we are secure on the "BASIC SECURITY" frontiers.
Now after addressing all these issues, if we get some time, we sit in front of the TV and call it a day until we feel sleepy. And in doing so we forget about another "security" we have forgotten to take care of !!!

"THE DREAM SECURITY"

Now obviously this seems to be a very weird term to you, but give me time. Read on and digest what all is there. You'll feel enlightened. That's my promise.

We all have seen those above-mentioned uncertainties happening to people around us that due to that fear of losing we have secured ourselves against them by making some reserves.

Like ...

You have "Life Security" to secure your family from the financial problems that they might have to face from your death

You must be fed up to the brim with your boss's bad nature but you still keep quiet, reason being you want to safeguard your "Job Security"

You have a nice home to protect your family from the wild animals which thus counts for "Basic Security" . And then you also want to keep your money safe and growing to meet the future needs of your family. And because you don't get failed at it, you make some investments aka "Financial Security".

But what about those passions which are crying inside your heart for they are never showered with love?

We resign ourselves to mediocre thinking. We resign ourselves to the pre-conceived notions the world feeds us. We end up being what society wants us to be.

And amid all these issues that require our attention, we forget about hunting for our dreams.

I believe this is the number one reason why chasing a dream is so very much important.

As you have seen, our each priority NOW is the product of the simple realization by us of the PAST which has underlined the word uncertainty and FEAR. We have insurances because of fear. We have investments because of fear. We listen to rebukes of the boss because of fear. If not fear, call it "realization of the existence of fear".

Now, in this particular blog post, I want to connect the same driving forces in the world to your dreams.

Don't you fear what will you answer your children if they got to know about your hidden desires and they ask you the reason of not fulfilling them?

Don't you fear what wisdom will you share with your grandchildren if you haven't chased something big in life that is worth sharing?

How would you feel if your son/ daughter comes home from the school and everyday describes how "awesome" his/ her friend's dad/ mom is and your son/daughter take them as a role model and not you ?

Hurting. Isn't it?

Isn't that a fear of losing your loved ones? I believe if your kid takes another man as his hero, you should be afraid of losing him. Because he will follow the footsteps of that person, not you.

Now suppose, God forbid if anything happens to you and you cannot join your office from tomorrow for forever. What would happen then? Who will bring that bread to your table? Yes, you would be unable to work and your family will start working for you and you might end up being a burden for yourself and them too. Might be you will be completely devoid of any willpower to go to work or find another job. And what will happen to your life? Sadness. Gloom. Frustrations. Disappointments. Misery. Fear. Uncertainty.

You were doing the job to run away from uncertainty and then this unfortunate event happened and uncertainty and fear caught up with you.

The antidote to it?

Your dreams. Your Passions.

When you will be working towards your dreams and your hungry aspirations, your children will notice it. Guess who will be the hero then ? YOU !

And if you now put the above crisis situation here and view it from this angle...

You will get up to fight! Even though you might be going through the most terrible times in your life, you will have that faith in yourself and your dream, that you just become unstoppable. You must have heard the term "faith can move mountains". It really can.

The only reason why we don't work towards our dreams is that we haven't attached any fear to it. We all have that tendency to overlook the most important issues until they convert into pressing emergencies.

And now if you regularly go through the question that "Why some people in the world are rich in just one generation and some families get passed from generations to generations and still they can't accumulate that money? "

The answer is :- The mediocre minds are working hard to earn money because of the fear of losing it. While those mega minds (aka rich people) are simply following their dreams. Which in itself makes them void of the fear of running out of money. In turn, money runs after the !

So connect your dreams with a fear so that you condition yourself to work hard for it.

Fear isn't a negative or a bad word.

Fear is a gorgeous word, if seen from this perspective.
