The Power of a Second

It only takes a second to decide that you will rise from mediocrity to playing at level called mastery.

It only takes a second to decide not to jump the red light.

It only takes a second to control your anger.

It only takes a second to think before you speak.

It only takes a second to say I love you to your loved one, like you mean it.

It only takes a second to decide that you will start investing and stop spending too much.

It only takes a second to propose the girl / guy you like.

It only takes a second to cheer yourself up from the negativity you've thrown yourself into.

It only takes a second to stand firm on your decision even if the opposition gets stronger.

It only takes a second to delete those people from your life who don't value you.

It only takes a second to make the decision to end your dreadful relationships.

It only takes a second to say "No" to the pleasant distractions at the cost of your passionate pursuits.

It only takes a second to pay gratitude to the God for having so much in your life.

It only takes a second to clean up that messy table in your office that you hate so much.

It only takes a second to make the resolution to get fitter and healthier.

It only takes a second to say "Yes" to the challenging opportunity in front of you.

It only takes a second to think before you speak.

It only takes a second to smile at the bank employee whose day isn’t going well.

It only takes a second to smile and say hello to the lift man whom you chose to ignore every day.

It only takes a second to wear helmet or to put on your seatbelts.

It only takes a second to make the audience go wow with your entry.

It only takes a second to kiss your children and spouse before you leave for office.

It only takes a second to give your coat to a beggar shivering with cold.

It only takes a second to yell at your spouse for a tiny matter.

It only takes a second to say a heartfelt sorry for the mistake you did.

It only takes a second to lavishly praise someone for a job well done.

It only takes a second to stop a destructive thought from entering our mind.

It only takes a second to count your blessings in life.

It only takes a second to smile at a stranger in your daily commute to work.

It only takes a second to decide that you'll be displaying courage and passion to your teammates.

It only takes a second to make your family realize how much you mean to them.

I could think of innumerable ways like this. What a huge amount of power just one tiny little second holds!

We have structured our days into hours, minutes and seconds. Still we haven't ever realized the importance of each and every second we are blessed with.

How many of such aforementioned “seconds” have you experienced till now or put them into use?

If not much, then I guess you aren't truly living.

Make the time for things that count the most to you.

POWER : How to be More Powerful than you have ever been.!!!

Everyone loves to be in power.

 As far as I can remember it all started when I was in my school in 2nd or 3rd grade and the teacher gave me the title of class captain. The class captain had the duty and the responsibility to make peace in class and never let a fight occur. Well, that was a different thing that I was the naughtiest boy in my class and that's why the teacher used to make me the class captain and when given this responsibility, I felt a power in me. It felt good.

Now coming back to our topic, yes, we all love power. Powerful men in whichever field they are, they get respected. Provided that the power gained by them is lawful and acquired by not doing any bad to any fellow human being. Why is that so? Let's study them.

They have some sort of traits that you can imbibe into your DNA to get to your own unique level of power.

1) They demonstrate magical confidence

All great men and women of this age, they all have some sort of magical confidence in them. That vibe that they exude is just amazing. Whenever a powerful man / woman passes by, don't you get a "feel good factor" around them? That is because they are literally oozing out confidence and power. 

2) They speak less

All great leaders have a simple rule "Speak Less, Do More". It's the useless talks they avoid. They know that such talks will do us no good. All these gossiping and chit chattings are okay for a while, but in the long term, they do us no good. The powerful men and women imply this principle in their daily lives.

3) They are creative

Every business needs innovation. And every great business is governed by the men/women in power. Why does a business need innovation? It's simple, dynamic environment, fast changing government regulations and share markets going up and down etc. All of such circumstances make the survival of a business very difficult, so to sense the future threats and to identify the forthcoming opportunities, the businessmen of this era need to be creative.
 They need to be ready always for the challenge! And this feeling of a challenge gives them an exquisite amount of power! 

Don’t you think we need to do the same as well? Our lives also see different challenges now and then.  

4)They love the concept of hard work but actually they execute smart work.

 Average people do hard work. Smart people do smart work. All great businessmen have huge businesses. And to manage them, they hire people who do hard work. Isn't this called as smart work ? What they can achieve in a year can now be achieved in a day. But in doing so, they never exploit the human values.

5) They exactly know where to go

They're the leaders. And leaders know where to go. The whole society of this generation looks up to the Titans, the leaders ; the men to be followed.

6) Time is their most precious asset. Period.

Every great entrepreneur, every great singer, every great actor ; they all have these traits in common. These traits define confidence and power.

Greatness is a product of the process called smart work. 

 But let me tell you one thing that greatness plus humbleness is the best combination ever!

So aim for the best ! Stay humble. Stay courageous and power will follow you very soon.

What is the True Power of Performing At Your World Class ?

Each one of us is a performer in some way or the other in our respective lives. Right now a schoolboy in India is performing on the stage of his annual day play at school. Somewhere someone in Germany is performing in his business meeting. Somewhere in the USA, there is a mother preparing breakfast for her family with utmost love and care. Somewhere in Nigeria, a father is dropping off his daughter first time to her school.

All of these people are performers in some way or the other. There is a unique power when you perform your duties. Be it a leader or not, be it a teacher or not, be it a truck driver or not, your work defines you. It defines who you are. Let me refine that, by no means am saying that if you sweep streets it defines how low class person you are, WHAT I MEAN is that the way you do your work, the way you carry out your daily chores, the way you find the excitement in your boring routines, this particular “act of courage”  ,the fire to find best in everything, this is the thing that defines who you really are. And it does speak a lot about you.

Martin Luther King stated it so beautifully that,” a street sweeper should sweep streets so amazingly that when the angels of the heavens pass on from the above they get surprised and say Here lived a street sweeper who did his work so amazingly “

This is the power of the work which really defines you.What I believe in is that A man is not known by his name, he is known for his work. His Work is his Real Name.

What I really want you to do is that from now itself do your work so amazingly that the world just can’t stop itself from praising you. How would it feel? WOW ! Isn’t it? 

Some Quick tips to achieve your own unique level of greatness: -

1)          Never ever settle for the ordinary. Always push the envelope. Nothing hurts worse than the pain of never trying.

2)          Don’t pay attention to the naysayers. It’s their job to "say". Do what you love. Be it that way. If it matters the most to you, if it is the thing that makes you work till 3 am in the morning without feeling tired then my dear friend you have found the thing in life that will give you a kick!

3)          Whatever work you do in your daily life, try finding out something exciting every now and then to keep yourself energetic, your motivation levels high and to keep you feeling that you are doing something meaningful in life.

4)          When you perform, no matter where it is or what it is, that act of performance is a live example of your talents, skills, abilities, qualities and your innate love for the art you’re pursuing so make sure you render an exquisite piece of art.  

There is this one thing I strongly believe in whenever you perform to your highest level and when you try to reach even higher and higher, you take that jump, that leap of faith when the whole universe conspires to make your dreams come true. Those dreams don’t remain impossible by then.

If your work matters to you, you’ll definitely feel the power of your performance and when you will feel it, that will be the point you’re entering the arena of the genius!
